You Still Can’t Sell Sameness
This is a quick update to my previous blog post about the importance of differentiation in our marketing efforts. There are many things that all international schools have in common. For instance, SSIS offers the IB Diploma program—which is a great thing. Our closest competitors in the area offer the same program. So while this is something that prospective parents/families put a high value on, it’s not necessarily what makes us stand out from the crowd. But when you mention that we offer both IB and AP, ears perk up.
Not Only That, But…
no other school in the area has a facility as expansive, green, and state-of-the art as ours. As one component of our recent application to join the SEASAC conference, I put together this short video showing off our campus—both indoors and out. I am happy to say that we were notified last weekend that we are now an official SEASAC Member School. This is thanks to the amazing teaching and coaching staff at SSIS, and the high priority athletics and activities take in our school’s culture. But it’s also the result of those differentiating factors, such as our incredible facility. These are the things that need to be showcased, frequently and prominently. Check out the video below:
