Project Based Learning in Kindergarten

Yesterday, I had the inside scoop on a certain party going on in a certain Kindergarten class, so I stopped by to take some shots. Ms. Charlotte’s class put together the coolest project-based unit around the concept of Appreciation. And much of this project was designed by the kids along the way! The sad part is that my son, Dominic, got sick and barfed all over the playground about an hour before the party. And he was really looking forward to it. 🙁

But the show must go on! Congratulations to Charlotte on another job well done; she is really a gift to our family and our school. Check it out:

I have run across this Sergio Zyman quote several times throughout my career in design, production, and marketing, and it rings as true today as ever. Who is Sergio Zyman? He’s the marketing executive behind “New Coke”, a product which is widely considered one of the greatest marketing blunders of all time. So why am I quoting him? Because he’s also had a lot of marketing successes at CocaCola, PepsiCo, Proctor & Gamble, Fruitopia, not to mention his own consulting firm which he sold for about $60 million. Con Dao Islands, Part 2

There's not much I can share about this project... yet! But following the feedback from Part One of the Con Dao video series, with Dave Fox (www.globejotting.com) I'm in the process of putting together a second part.
